My degree integrated education across casework, group work, and community development. In Hong Kong and many parts of Asia, a 4-year BSW-level training prepares social workers for the full scope of clinical practice, including psychotherapy, counselling, crisis intervention, and community work. I completed practicum placements in Narrative Therapy and Expressive Arts Therapy, where I developed early clinical experience working with individuals and groups through a social justice, strengths-based, and relational lens. My research focused on youth mental health.
